Part of the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA) programming, boorda yeyi is a new immersive arts program inviting artists to consider a broad range of cutting edge technologies in creating works that are expansive and transformative. Boldly experimental, boorda yeyi is a commitment to emergent technologies and the artists who use them to create new horizons.

Role + Responsibilities

  • Mentoring one of the team’s participating in the Intensive Mentorship program and collaborating with Technical Artists.

  • Providing guidance on creating a first time work in Extended Reality (XR) and functional prototype.

  • Particular focus on narrative, storytelling, user experience and world building for immersive experiences.

  • Invited speaker at the boorda yeyi Foundational Symposium.

Outcome

  • Works showcased at PICA Open Studio, July 2025.
